Georgia’s external trade up 20.5% in January-October

Georgia’s external trade grew by 20.5% this year and reached $10.30 billion in January-October 2018, says the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

This year the value of Georgia’s exports increased by 24.5% to $2.75 billion, while the value of imports also increased 19.2% to $7.55 billion with respect to January-October 2017, said Geostat.

Georgia’s trade deficit equalled $4.80 billion this year, which was a 46.6% share of the country's total trade turnover.
